Frank M. Ruff Jr. won the Republican nomination Tuesday night at a primary for the Republican nomination for the Virginia 15th Senate District; winning with 79% of the vote. With 100% of the precincts accounted for, he defeated Dale Sturdefen who had 21% of the votes. Sturdifen is a former State Trooper.
Incumbent Frank Ruff Jr. has served four terms and has been in the seat since 1999. It is the first time a Republican primary has been held since he’s been in office.
