Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg donates food to benefit United Way of Central Virginia's Sustaining Our Students (S.O.S.) Backpack Program
Reverend Kristie Miles, Chaplain of Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, coordinated a month-long food drive to benefit United Way of Central Virginia’s Sustaining Our Students (S.O.S.) Weekend Backpack Program that helps feed hungry children in Central Virginia on the weekend. The food drive, normally held in December, was switched to July as part of a Christmas in July theme and was a part of a week-long series of activities and events for the residents of Westminster Canterbury.
Workers and volunteers from United Way of Central Virginia will be picking up this donation from Westminster Canterbury today, July 29, 2019, at 2:00 p.m.
