After being named the Region 1B defender of the year last month, William Campbell’s Zekeya Townes has now earned defensive honors on the Class 1 all-state football teams in the VHSL.

Postseason high school football honors were recently announced as William Campbell and Altavista were well represented led by Generals junior defensive end Zekeya Townes who was named Region 1B Defensive Player of the Year.

Pure Pro Wrestling will hold a big fundraising show for the Pittsylvania County SPCA in Chatham at the fire department on Saturday, Sept. 21. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the SPCA who will get all concession sales for some good tasting food including their delicious hot dogs.
