A shooting investigation is underway after a 17-year-old girl was shot in the shoulder in Miami on Saturday evening, according to police.

Around 5:40 p.m., City of Miami Police received multiple ShotSpotter alerts at 342 SW 7th Ave. When officers arrived, they found no one at the scene. Shortly afterward, police received another call reporting that a 17-year-old girl had been shot. She was located in the area of Northwest 11th Avenue between 27th and 28th Streets.

Miami Fire Rescue transported her to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she was listed in stable condition.

Investigators say the teen was shot at the original ShotSpotter location before she left the area and contacted police from the second location.

Miami Police also told CBS News Miami that a 16-year-old boy at the scene may have been grazed by a bullet.

No arrests have been made, though the investigation remains active. CBS News Miami crews witnessed a person being handcuffed and taken into custody at the second location.
