Logan Alicia Brooks, a 23-year-old from Prentiss, Mississippi, died following a traffic collision in Ector County, Texas, according to law enforcement officials.
The crash occurred on the evening of March 25 near the intersection of West 42nd Street and FM 866.
Authorities reported that Brooks was driving westbound in a Nissan Altima when the vehicle entered the intersection and collided with a semi truck traveling northbound.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene, where she was pronounced deceased. The truck driver was not injured. The incident remains under investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The Texas Department of Public Safety stated that Brooks was traveling west on 42nd Street at approximately 9 p.m. when she failed to stop at a posted stop sign at the intersection.
At the same time, a semi truck was moving northbound along FM 866. The vehicles entered the intersection and collided, resulting in a severe impact.
First responders arrived shortly after the crash was reported. Despite efforts at the scene, Brooks was pronounced dead at the location of the accident.
The driver of the semi truck was not reported injured and remained at the scene to cooperate with investigators.
Officials have not released additional contributing factors such as weather, speed, or possible impairment, and the case remains under review as authorities work to determine the exact circumstances leading to the collision.
