Shakopee police are investigating a shooting that happened early Saturday morning.
Police say they responded to Grove Drive around 3 a.m. for a weapons complaint. When officers arrived, they found a 40-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds.
The man was taken to a metro-area hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition, according to police.
Investigators do not believe the shooting was random, and they say there is no threat to the public.
