A sweeping drug trafficking conspiracy stretching from California to Florida has resulted in lengthy federal prison sentences for three men who operated a major meth distribution network in the Tampa Bay region.
U.S. District Judge William F. Jung on Friday sentenced 57-year-old Hopeton Goslin of St. Petersburg to 20 years in federal prison for leading the operation. His co-conspirators—Tony Marsh, 25, of Bradenton, and Colin Zirpoli, 46, of Sarasota—received sentences of 10 years and 30 months, respectively.
DEA Investigation Uncovers Multi-State Drug Pipeline
The case began in February 2024 when DEA agents launched an investigation into Zirpoli for suspected meth trafficking. Evidence from that probe led investigators to supplier Elizabeth Poff, who then connected the drugs to Marsh. Marsh’s involvement ultimately pointed authorities to the ringleader, Goslin.
A search of Goslin’s residence and a storage unit uncovered more than 45 kilograms of methamphetamine. All four Florida defendants—Goslin, Marsh, Poff, and Zirpoli—pleaded guilty. Poff had previously been sentenced to 37 months in prison.
Supply Line Ran Through San Diego
Further investigation led agents across the country to San Diego, where they identified 49-year-old Omar Pitter as Goslin’s primary supplier. According to trial testimony, Pitter used FedEx, UPS, and other commercial shipping companies to send large quantities of drugs to Florida beginning in 2023.
In total, agents estimated the trafficking operation moved approximately 34 kilograms of cocaine and nearly 700 pounds of methamphetamine.
Pitter was arrested in California along with co-defendants Keona Fulton and Ciarra Guss. In September 2025, a federal jury convicted Pitter and Guss of conspiring to distribute methamphetamine. Pitter and Fulton were also found guilty of money laundering conspiracy.
More Sentences Still Ahead
The California-based defendants—Pitter, Guss, and Fulton—are scheduled to be sentenced in December 2025, marking the final chapter in a case that dismantled a major drug pipeline operating across multiple states.
