A West Fargo man and woman face multiple felony drug charges following a months-long undercover investigation by the Grand Forks Narcotics Task Force involving methamphetamine sales.
Crystal Gayle Marie Mapel, 46, and Jamey Scott Rice, 50, were charged in related cases linked to transactions between September and October 2025.
-
Mapel faces three felony counts: delivery of methamphetamine (50 grams or more), conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine, and possession with intent to manufacture or deliver methamphetamine.
-
Rice faces two Level B felonies for delivery of methamphetamine.
The charges stem from four incidents involving a confidential informant.
Key Transactions:
-
September 23: Rice delivered about 4 grams of methamphetamine for $160, with Mapel present.
-
October 9: Mapel sold roughly 229 grams of methamphetamine for $2,600 in Grand Forks.
Arrest:
On October 17, officers stopped Mapel’s vehicle on I-29 near mile marker 129. A search uncovered a glass meth pipe and about 29.5 grams of methamphetamine, indicating intent to sell. Mapel admitted ownership and identified the source.
Both suspects are now in custody at the Grand Forks County Corrections Center.
