A Chowan County couple faces multiple felony charges, including safecracking, after a larceny incident in Craven County, North Carolina.
Randy Michael Boyce Jr., 42, and Richelle Lynette Adams, 43, both of Edenton, N.C., were identified as suspects in a larceny case involving a home on Catfish Lake Road in New Bern, N.C.
The Craven County Sheriff’s Office received the larceny report on December 1, 2025.
An investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau identified Boyce Jr. and Adams as the suspects.
On December 5, 2025, the Edenton Police Department helped arrest Boyce Jr. and transported him to the Magistrate’s Office.
Richelle Adams was arrested without incident when she arrived at the Magistrate’s Office to post bond for Boyce Jr.
Both suspects were charged with felony safecracking, felony exploitation of the elderly, felony larceny after breaking and entering, and felony conspiracy.
The victim is elderly and has disabilities, including difficulty hearing and trouble walking, according to the arrest warrant. Court documents say a stolen key was used to open the victim’s safe.
Boyce Jr. and Adams were booked into the Chowan County Confinement Facility under a $100,000 secured bond each.
