Virginia State Police issued a CODI alert Sunday on behalf of a 12-year-old girl reported missing earlier that morning, according to the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office. The alert has since been canceled after authorities confirmed she was found safe.
Officials identified the child as Sierra Dawn Felts, described as white, standing 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 135 pounds, with blond hair and green eyes. She was last seen around 1 a.m. on Savannah Road in Galax, Virginia, wearing a green jumpsuit with panda designs.
Police said Sierra was believed to be with a Hispanic man in an unknown vehicle and noted that her disappearance posed a credible threat to her health and safety at the time of the alert.
