Shelley Katherine Satterfield is counting her blessings and asking for the public’s help after her daughter survived a terrifying car flip on Interstate 64. She believes the incident was caused by aggressive drivers.

She took to Facebook to share the harrowing story, explaining that her daughter was run off the road yesterday afternoon shortly after 4 p.m. The incident occurred between the Alexandria exit (254) and the Gordonsville exit (258).

Satterfield claims her daughter was forced off the highway by two men in a gray or silver Mazda. She described the vehicle’s behavior as increasingly erratic.

She stated that the occupants were “weaving in and out of traffic, rolling their window down and giving people a thumbs down,” before pulling in front of other cars and slamming on their brakes.

When the driver performed this maneuver in front of her daughter, it caused her to run off the road, resulting in her vehicle flipping. Thankfully, she was able to walk away from the wreck, though her car was totaled.

God was watching over my girl and I’m so grateful she is okay cars are replaceable but she is not so I’m one blessed mom that she walked away !!!!

The two men in the Mazda reportedly fled the scene.

Satterfield is now urgently appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has dash cam footage from that stretch of I-64 between Exits 254 and 258.

She is asking for any information regarding the vehicle, a license plate number, or a better description of the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact her or her husband, Scott Satterfield, directly.

Despite the trauma of the accident, she took a moment to express profound gratitude to the bystanders who stopped to help her daughter and to the State Trooper who responded to the scene.

The post has since garnered an outpouring of support from the community, with many netizens expressing relief that the young woman survived the violent crash and hoping the responsible parties are identified.

I was behind her a few cars, I did not see the vehicle myself you are talking about. All I know is that it looked like a tornado and her car was flipping! I pulled over and called 911 but of course there were other people there and the trooper was there very quickly. We saw her climb out of the car. I am so thankful she climbed out and is alright because it was bad! I am going to tag another lady that pulled over also and see if she saw the car you are talking about. Tanya Hudson
