Tyler Marie Grezaffi, age twenty-seven, of New Roads, Louisiana, passed away on March 18, 2026. She was born on July 14, 1998, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Scott Grezaffi and Marie Grezaffi.
From an early age, she was described by family and friends as compassionate, driven, and dedicated to helping others.
She built a career in public service and law enforcement and was known for her professionalism and commitment while working as an investigator at the Louisiana State Penitentiary in Angola.
Her work placed her among colleagues who respected her dedication to duty and her care for the people she served.
She is survived by her father, Scott Grezaffi, and DeeDee, her mother, Marie Grezaffi, her sister, Shannon Grezaffi Legendre, Eric, and her brother, Ryan Grezaffi.
She is also survived by her grandmother Toni Foret Grezaffi, her grandmother Andi Grezaffi Perkins, and her uncle Paul PJ Perkins, along with her cousin Darby McIntosh Carriere and Nick, whom she loved as a younger sister.
She leaves behind her nephew Bishop Greene and niece Kullen Greene, as well as her fiancé Brandon Blackburn, with whom she shared her home and life, along with their beloved dog Knox.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Sammy Grezaffi, affectionately known as Pop, whose memory remained important to her family.
Tyler enjoyed spending time with Brandon on new adventures, participating in family trips with the Grezaffi girls, and gathering for New Year celebrations at her uncle PJ’s lodge in Sicily Island.
She valued time with her family and friends and brought warmth to every gathering she attended.
A funeral service will be held on March 23, 2026, at New Life Worship Center in New Roads, Louisiana, with visitation from nine in the morning until eleven in the morning, followed by a service beginning at eleven.
Burial will take place at False River Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest. A celebration of life will follow at First Baptist Church.
The family has expressed deep gratitude to all who have offered support and especially to members of law enforcement who assisted in honoring her final journey with care and respect during this time of sorrow.
Tyler was remembered by friends and colleagues as someone who brought light and encouragement into every space she entered, always willing to help others and committed to serving her community with integrity and compassion.
Her legacy continues through the love she shared with her family, the friendships she built over her lifetime, and the dedication she showed in her professional role within law enforcement and corrections work.
