“To know Tyler was to love him. His smile, his laugh, his touch, and the way he loved his family are the memories that will remain with them forever.”
Bailey wrote that the reality of the loss still feels impossible to accept. She described Tyler as a man whose kindness and love reached countless people, saying the response from friends and family has shown just how many lives he touched.

Former Liberty High School standout remembered
Beyond his role as a husband and father, Tyler Raper was also known to many through athletics.
He graduated from Liberty High School in Bakersfield, California, as part of the Class of 2012. During his high school years, he competed in both baseball and football, playing as an infielder for the Liberty varsity baseball team and as a linebacker and offensive lineman for the football program.
His senior baseball season was especially productive. According to his MaxPreps profile, Tyler appeared in 30 games and posted a .398 batting average while collecting 37 hits, scoring 25 runs, driving in 33 runs, and hitting five home runs. His performance ranked him among the top home run hitters in California’s Central Section during the 2012 season.
