The Chisholm Police Department announced yesterday that they are investigating a report of bones found in a basement, with assistance from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.
On December 2, authorities searched a basement in Chisholm, Minnesota, after possible human bones were discovered. Chisholm is the town where LeeAnna Warner went missing over 22 years ago. Her case remains unsolved and a high priority, with authorities taking every lead seriously.
Initial observations by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension suggest the bones are not human. However, the remains will undergo further analysis to confirm their origin.
Chisholm Police Chief James Vukad reassured the Warner family and the community that the case remains a top priority. He said the department “continues to follow every credible lead with care, diligence, and compassion.”
The investigation into LeeAnna Warner’s disappearance continues, and authorities are still questioning individuals in connection with the case.
Warner was last seen walking home from a friend’s house between 5:00 and 5:15 PM on June 14, 2003. Despite thousands of leads over the past 22 years, a lack of concrete evidence has prevented police from identifying a suspect.
