A tense standoff unfolded in Brooklyn Park on the evening of November 8, after an Uber Eats driver was robbed at knifepoint. The Brooklyn Park Police Department reported that the incident occurred at the 610 West Apartments on the 6700 block of Oak Grove Parkway. Officers responded around 8:14 p.m. after receiving a call about the armed robbery.
Upon arrival, police quickly identified the suspect and the apartment unit where he had taken refuge. Despite repeated attempts to make contact through calls and door knocks, no one inside the apartment responded. This led to the deployment of the Brooklyn Park Tactical Response Unit (SWAT) to safely resolve the situation.
According to a statement obtained by tip411, Crisis Negotiators were eventually able to convince the occupants to exit the apartment peacefully. Members of the SWAT team then detained a juvenile male and an adult female.
A search warrant was later executed, connecting the apartment directly to the robbery investigation. Police confirmed that the juvenile male suspect was arrested and faces robbery-related charges, while the adult female’s involvement remains under investigation.
Authorities emphasized that this incident demonstrates the collaborative and layered response law enforcement often undertakes—combining negotiation, tactical precision, and investigative follow-through. The case remains active as detectives continue to piece together the events surrounding the robbery.
