Brykevious Williams Dead After Greenville Shooting, Teen Kingston Kelly Faces Murder Charge

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. — An 18-year-old has been arrested and charged with murder in connection with a deadly shooting that followed an armed robbery at a Greenville nightclub earlier this month, the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office announced.

Kingston Lebron Kelly now faces charges of murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He is currently being held at the Greenville County Detention Center on no bond.

The case stems from an incident that unfolded in the early morning hours of May 16, when deputies were called to 400 Spring Forest Road, near the Temple of Israel on Spring Forest Road, around 1 a.m.

Upon arrival, officials found 25-year-old Brykevious Santwan Williams suffering from at least one gunshot wound inside a vehicle along Leacroft Drive. Williams was rushed to a nearby hospital, where medical staff worked to stabilize him.

Despite efforts to save his life, Williams did not survive. He passed away on May 21 or May 22, according to reports from the Greenville County Coroner’s Office. The coroner has since ruled his death a homicide.

Investigators with the sheriff’s office homicide unit determined that the shooting occurred following an armed robbery at Club Fusion, located on East North Street.

According to officials, an altercation broke out between Williams and the suspect after the robbery, which ultimately led to the shooting.

The events at the club and the subsequent gunfire were connected, setting off a chain of events that would prove fatal for Williams.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office homicide unit took over the investigation and worked to identify the person responsible.

Their efforts led them to Kingston Lebron Kelly, who was subsequently arrested and booked into the Greenville County Detention Center.

The swift arrest came as investigators pieced together the events of that night, linking Kelly directly to the shooting that claimed Williams’ life.

Kelly’s charges carry serious legal weight. A murder conviction in South Carolina can result in a mandatory sentence of 30 years to life in prison. The additional charge of possession of a weapon during a violent crime carries its own penalties under state law, which run consecutively to any sentence handed down for the underlying offense.

The decision to hold Kelly on no bond reflects the severity of the charges and the circumstances surrounding the alleged crime.

For the family and loved ones of Brykevious Santwan Williams, the arrest marks a painful but significant step toward justice. The 25-year-old spent nearly a week fighting for his life in the hospital before succumbing to his injuries, leaving behind those who knew and cared for him.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office has not released additional details regarding the armed robbery at Club Fusion or whether any other suspects are being sought in connection with that incident.

The investigation remains active, and authorities have not ruled out further developments as the case moves through the legal system.
