Jennifer Sue Nash, born Jennifer Sue Lambert on May 14, 1969, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, lived a life defined by dedication to her family, quiet strength, and a deep sense of commitment to those around her.
She passed away in the early morning hours of March 20, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with cancer, leaving behind a legacy of love and resilience that will not be forgotten by those who knew her.
Raised in Blackwell as the youngest of seven children, Jennifer grew up in a close-knit household filled with the energy and support of her six older siblings.
Despite the age gap, she formed lasting bonds with each of them, carrying those relationships throughout her life. She attended Blackwell High School and graduated in 1987, marking the beginning of her journey into adulthood with determination and independence.
Shortly after graduation, Jennifer began working full-time at McDonald’s, where a chance meeting would shape the rest of her life. It was there she met Vance Nash, the man who would become her husband and lifelong partner.
Their relationship quickly blossomed, and the couple married on April 7, 1991, in Blackwell, shortly after Vance completed his naval basic training.
Their early years together took them to Norfolk, Virginia, where Vance was stationed. During this time, Jennifer embraced motherhood, welcoming their two sons, Aaron in 1993 and Christopher in 1994.
Her devotion to her children was evident in every aspect of her life, as she balanced the responsibilities of family with unwavering care and attention.
Eventually, the family settled in Charlotte, North Carolina, where they built a stable and loving home. Jennifer established a successful career, beginning in the EMS department at Siemens Corporation.
Known for her diligence and professionalism, she later transitioned into the IT department at Bank of America’s corporate offices, where she continued to work until her illness made it impossible to carry on.
Jennifer’s life was not only defined by her professional accomplishments but also by the relationships she nurtured. She remained deeply connected to her siblings, extended family, and many friends.
She is survived by her husband, Vance Nash, and her two sons, Aaron Nash of Wisconsin and Christopher Nash of Charlotte, North Carolina.
She also leaves behind her siblings, Terri Garoutte, Cheri Roquemore, Janyce Leighton, Stephanie Lambert, Judy Johnson, and Steve Lambert, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Virginia Lambert, both of whom passed away in 2008. Their memory remained an important part of her life, shaping the values she carried forward.
Those who knew Jennifer remember her as a woman of quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering loyalty. She faced life’s challenges with grace and courage, particularly during her illness, which she endured with remarkable resilience.
A memorial service to honor Jennifer’s life is scheduled for April 9 at First Baptist Church in Blackwell, Oklahoma. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life, share memories, and find comfort in the impact she had on so many.
Jennifer’s story is one of love, perseverance, and deep family connection. Though she is no longer physically present, her spirit lives on in the lives she touched and in the memories that will continue to bring comfort to those who loved her.
