A quiet Friday evening in Duluth turned alarming when an armed robbery unfolded at the Taco John’s on Grand Avenue, prompting a citywide search for the suspect still on the loose.

Around 7:50 p.m. on November 7, Duluth Police responded to reports that a white male, about 6 feet tall and dressed in dark clothing, entered the restaurant, pointed a handgun at employees, and demanded money.

According to police, the suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. Fortunately, no employees, customers, or bystanders were injured during the incident. The man was last seen leaving the area in an unknown direction.

Authorities are now urging the community to come forward with any information that might lead to the suspect’s identification. Despite the absence of clear surveillance images, investigators believe someone may recognize the suspect from his clothing or behavior that evening.

As of Monday, November 10, no arrests have been made. The Duluth Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit continues to investigate and encourages anyone with information to call 911 or contact the unit directly at (218)-730-5050.

Police emphasized the ongoing urgency of the case, reminding the public that even a small tip could be crucial in identifying and capturing the person responsible.
