The Eveleth Police Department responded to a shooting on River Drive in Fayal Township around 3:45 p.m. on December 2 after receiving a 911 call. Officers from several law enforcement agencies arrived and secured the scene.
Police found a male victim with a gunshot wound and transported him to Duluth for medical treatment.
Officers arrested one man at the scene. He is being held at the St. Louis County Jail as investigators prepare formal charges.
The Minnesota BCA Crime Scene Team has been called in to process evidence. Eveleth Police Chief Jesse Linde said the investigation remains active and that additional information will be released when available.
