Fargo murder suspect arrested in Minneapolis

The suspect in an August 3 shooting in downtown Fargo is now in custody in Minneapolis.

Tyrque Jones was booked into Hennepin County Jail on December 3 at 1:28 p.m. He is being held without bail for another state.

Fargo Police confirmed that Jones was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Service North Star Task Force based in Minneapolis–St. Paul.

Jones had been on the run for four months following the fatal shooting of 19-year-old Azeem Holmes outside District 64, a bar and nightclub in Fargo.

He was first publicly identified as the suspect on August 4.

Fargo Police plan to hold a press conference at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, which will be streamed live on KVLY’s digital platforms.
