Two men are dead, and a teenager is recovering in the hospital after a stabbing and shooting broke out on Hartford’s Madison Street Wednesday evening.

What Happened on Madison Street

Hartford police were called to the 135 Madison Street area around 7:09 p.m. Wednesday after reports of a large fight breaking out in the neighborhood.

Officers arriving on scene found a man in his 30s with a stab wound. He was unresponsive when police performed CPR before rushing him to a nearby hospital, where he later died.

While officers were still working the scene, two more victims connected to the same incident showed up at an area hospital in a private vehicle.
