Indianapolis Mourns Timothy Marc Roberts, Beloved Coach and Community Leader

Indianapolis, Indiana – The Indianapolis community mourns the loss of Timothy Marc Roberts, known affectionately as Tim, who passed away on March 6, 2026, at the age of 56.

Born on February 25, 1970, in Indianapolis, Tim lived a life defined by love, humor, and devotion to his family, friends, and community.

Tim’s presence was a source of warmth and laughter to all who knew him. Known for his infectious sense of humor, genuine humility, and unwavering loyalty, he brought energy and joy to every room he entered.

Beyond his magnetic personality, Tim dedicated himself wholeheartedly to improving the lives of those around him, making a lasting impact both personally and professionally.

Professionally, Tim enjoyed a successful career in sales and marketing, where his dedication, integrity, and work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Yet, his true passion lay in his service to the Indianapolis community.

Tim was deeply involved with St. Michael Booster Club, CYO, Ben Davis Little League, and Bishop Chatard High School football.

As a coach, he devoted countless hours to mentoring young athletes, guiding them not only in sports but in life.

His leadership and commitment were recognized with multiple awards, including the Monsignor Busald Award in 2014 and the Ben Davis Little League Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016.

Tim also organized numerous fundraisers, golf events, and community celebrations to benefit Catholic school scholarships and local families, consistently demonstrating his belief in giving back and bringing people together.

A lifelong Chicago Bears fan, Tim’s love for football extended beyond the field, inspiring others with his enthusiasm and sportsmanship. He believed in the power of teamwork, fun, and community, values he carried into every aspect of his life.

Tim’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his wife, Cara, and their children, Marc, Adrienne, Jack, and Joe, as well as grandchildren Ella, Baker, Georgia, Archer, and Chloe.

His mother, Marie Roberts, and siblings Steven (Lynn) Roberts and Annette (Drew) Dorman, along with his in-laws Jack and Linda Imel and Kevin (Tammi) Imel, also survive him, as do numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Roberts. Tim’s love, guidance, and laughter leave a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew him.

Visitation was held on March 10, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W. 10th Street, Indianapolis, followed by a Rosary at 7:30 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial took place on March 11 at 10:30 am at St. Michael Catholic Church, 3354 West 30th Street, with interment at Calvary Cemetery, 435 W. Troy Avenue.

Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 3354 W. 30th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46222, to continue Tim’s commitment to faith, community, and the education of future generations.

Timothy Marc Roberts will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, coach, and friend, whose life of service, humor, and generosity left an indelible mark on Indianapolis.

His legacy of love and community spirit will endure through the countless lives he touched.
