A 59-year-old man was hospitalized Saturday afternoon after being thrown from a snowmobile south of Wahpeton.
Richland County Communications received a 911 call at approximately 12:38 p.m., reporting a single-occupant snowmobile accident between mile markers 21 and 22 on Highway 127.
Authorities say the man struck a hard spot in the snow while riding in the ditch, which caused him to be ejected from the vehicle.
He was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Wahpeton Police Department, and Breckenridge Ambulance all responded to the scene.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the accident.
