Medina, TN Woman Madison Nicole Cobb, 24, Dies at Her Home

Madison Nicole Cobb, 24, of Medina, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, at her home.

She was born on September 15, 2001, in Jackson, Tennessee, and spent her short life touching the people around her with warmth and generosity.

Those who knew Madison describe her as a true girly girl who loved all things pink, along with makeup, hair, and nails. She never met a stranger, and her friendly nature made everyone around her feel welcome. Family and friends say her smile and bright personality could light up any room she walked into.

Madison also had a deep love for her dog, Peanut, whom she called her fur baby. Those close to her say Peanut brought tremendous joy into her life.

Beyond her love for her pet, Madison was known for always being willing to lend a hand to others. She served those around her with a compassionate heart and was described as dependable and true to her word.

Her kindness, generosity, and genuine spirit are expected to be remembered by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Survived by a Loving Family

Madison was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Floyd and Shirley Cobb, and her maternal great-grandmother, Jean Chism, who was affectionately known as Granny.

She leaves behind her father, Edward “Ed” Cobb of Medina, and her mother and stepfather, Jeannie and David Exley of Medon. She is also survived by her sister, Magan Cobb of Medina, and her stepbrother, Colton Exley, along with his wife, Taylor.

Additional survivors include her uncle, Mike Cobb, and her great aunt and uncle, Don and Sherry Chism. Madison was engaged to her fiancée, Shamaya Buchanan, at the time of her passing. She is also remembered by five nephews, two nieces, and many close friends.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 28, 2026, in the chapel of Medina Funeral Home with Ken Bowman officiating.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. that same day in the chapel, ahead of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Singer Island Health in Riviera Beach, Florida. Checks can be made payable to Jeannie Exley, or donations can be sent through Venmo to the handle bodyandsoulmassage2.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Medina Funeral Home and Cremation Service, located at 302 West Church Avenue in Medina, Tennessee. The funeral home offers an on-site crematory so that families’ loved ones never leave their care.

Friends and family who wish to honor Madison’s memory are invited to sign her guest book, share photos, or plant a tree in her name through the funeral home’s tribute page.

Many in the community have already begun sharing condolences and memories as word of her passing has spread.

Madison’s family has expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support during this difficult time and continues to welcome messages of comfort from those who knew and loved her.
