Minnesota Appeals Judge arrested in Steele County on suspicion of DWI

A Minnesota Court of Appeals judge was arrested in Steele County over the weekend on suspicion of driving while intoxicated, according to the Steele County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies confirmed that Judge Renee Worke was taken into custody for suspected DWI. No charges have been filed at this time.

Judge Worke has served on the Minnesota Court of Appeals since her appointment on June 9, 2005. Her current term runs through January 1, 2031. Before joining the appellate court, she served on the Third Judicial District in Waseca beginning in 1996.

Authorities say the case remains under investigation.
