Family Celebrates Big Moment After Ky Williams Drops 33 Points at Magnolia
Ky Williams is the talk of the town after a record-breaking performance on the court, and his biggest fan, his mother, Ty Williams Tait, wants the world to know just how proud she is.
He delivered a stunning performance in a game in Magnolia, scoring 33 points. The impressive feat was a moment of pure joy for the young athlete, who just a year prior struggled with his confidence after a tough season.
Ty Williams Tait took to Facebook to celebrate her son’s big moment, sharing an emotional post about his journey and the pride she feels. She hopes her son sees how proud she is of him.
In a lengthy post, she revealed that she had missed a previous game due to receiving bad news, and worried her son might feel unsupported.
I don’t want my children to ever feel like mama isn’t proud. In this moment my kids feel like mama is too strict or they have so much going on. They don’t have the opportunity to experience the fun because literally they are at one practice to another.

Ty recounted a conversation she had with Ky just days before his 33-point outburst, where she encouraged him to strive for greatness. She told him, “Someone has to keep the Williams name going.”
Little did she know, he would answer that call on the basketball court.
Her post also highlighted a difficult period last season when a coach tried to dim his light, leaving Ky in tears and shaking his confidence. She gave him simple advice.
Son you better play basketball like you play me & your dad (we can’t forget him) at home
Ty made sure to thank the coach for listening to her concerns and letting her son play.
She also asked the community to let Ky enjoy his moment, especially since he has been proudly telling people he “signed the book” after the game. While celebrating the achievement, she also kept her son grounded with a loving reminder.
SON, THIS IS YOUR MOMENT YOU HAVE EARNED YOUR BRAGGING RIGHTS FOR NOW BUT REMEMBER YOU ARE ONLY 11 YEARS OLD.
