A Campbell County native recently announced plans to run for a seat on the Campbell County Board of Supervisors in the Timberlake District.
Justin Carwile announced his intentions to run as a Republican in the district in a statement that was released Monday.
Carwile has not run for office before. He currently works at the Lynchburg location of Hanwah Azdel, a global manufacturing company. Carwile listed technology improvements for Brookville schools, developing and promoting local businesses, upholding the rule of law and defending First and Second Amendment rights among his priorities.
Carwile referred to himself as a constitutional conservative, highlighting his belief in relatively small government with limited taxes. Carwile attended Brookville High School and graduated with an engineering degree from Virginia Tech.
