New Milford Township, Pennsylvania: Sara Reynolds, 26, Missing Since July 2 Near I-81

NEW MILFORD TOWNSHIP, Pennsylvania State Police are asking for the public’s help finding a 26 year old woman who has not been seen since earlier this month.

Last Seen Near Route 492

Sara May Reynolds was last spotted on Thursday, July 2, close to the intersection of Route 492 and Interstate 81 in New Milford Township, which sits in Susquehanna County. Troopers describe her as about 5 feet 2 inches tall and roughly 130 pounds, with auburn hair and brown eyes.

Investigators say Reynolds does not have a car or other means of transportation of her own. Because of that, they believe she could be moving around on foot or riding along with someone else whose identity is not yet known.

According to a missing persons database that has been tracking her case, she was last seen wearing gray leggings, a black sleeveless shirt, and black Hey Dude shoes.

The circumstances surrounding her disappearance have not been made public, and it is unclear whether investigators consider her case suspicious or believe she left the area on her own.

Susquehanna County is a mostly rural part of northeastern Pennsylvania near the New York state line, and the stretch of highway where she was last seen connects several small townships to Interstate 81, a major north-south route through the region.

How To Help

Pennsylvania State Police at the Gibson barracks are leading the search and are urging anyone who may have seen Reynolds or who has information about where she might be to come forward. Tips can be called in directly to the Gibson station at 570 465 3154, or to the statewide PSP Tips line at 1 800 472 8477. People can also submit information online through the state police tip form.

Volunteer groups that track missing persons cases nationwide have also picked up her story, adding her file to a broader database used by advocates and families searching for loved ones.

Organizers with those groups say they only post cases that have been confirmed with law enforcement, and they are encouraging people on social media to share her photo and description in hopes that someone recognizes her.

Family and community members are hoping increased attention will generate new leads, especially since nearly a week has now passed since she was last confirmed seen. Anyone who spots someone matching her description in or around New Milford Township is asked not to approach and instead contact police right away so officers can follow up safely.

As of this week, state police have not released any additional updates on the search, and no further details about her disappearance have been made available to the public.
