A quiet Monday afternoon in Norwood, Ohio, turned tragic on June 2, 2026, when a woman was stabbed and killed inside a Skyline Chili restaurant on Montgomery Road.
The victim, identified by family and friends as Ally Nicole Hill, a Cincinnati native and mother of two, lost her life in what police are calling an isolated incident.
The Norwood Police Department responded to 4588 Montgomery Road just before noon after receiving reports of a stabbing at the popular chili chain location.
Officers arrived to find one female victim who was rushed to a nearby hospital. She was pronounced dead shortly after. A suspect was taken into custody near the scene, and investigators have since stated that the public faces no ongoing threat.
The case remains under active investigation, and authorities have indicated that more details could be released as the inquiry progresses. Chief Matthew Klingelhoffer leads the department handling the case.
A Woman Loved Deeply by Everyone Around Her
Those who knew Ally personally painted a picture of a woman who carried warmth everywhere she went.
She had been working at the Norwood Skyline Chili since September 2024 and had previously held roles at AC Hotels by Marriott and Chipotle Mexican Grill. To her coworkers, she was far more than just a colleague.
One friend and fellow employee, who was present during the attack, shared a heartbreaking tribute on social media describing how Ally never had a harmful bone in her body.
She wrote that Ally would give someone the shirt off her back without a second thought and had a way of making even the hardest days feel lighter. The friend described watching her be killed and feeling completely powerless to stop it as something she will never recover from.
Others in her circle were equally devastated. A friend named Emily Sears wrote that Ally had a natural ability to bring smiles to people around her and that the world feels emptier without her presence.
She offered prayers for Ally’s two children, Jayda and Colson, and for her father, hoping Ally finds nothing but peace.
Ally’s own Facebook bio reflected her values. She had pinned the scripture 1 Corinthians 16:14, which speaks of doing everything in love, a verse that many who knew her said perfectly captured who she was as a person.
In response to the tragedy, a close friend named Tessa Jordan launched a GoFundMe campaign with the blessing of Ally’s sister Kayla. The fund was created specifically to help cover funeral costs and provide financial support for Ally’s two young children as the family navigates the aftermath of such a sudden and violent loss.
Jordan made clear that every dollar collected will go directly to Ally’s family and that she is serving only as the campaign organizer.
The Norwood Police Department has not yet released the name of the suspect or provided any information regarding a possible motive. The department continues to work through witness accounts and evidence gathered at the scene.
