A man was hospitalized and another person was taken into custody following a shooting early Saturday morning in St. Paul’s North End neighborhood, according to police.
Officers responded around 1:45 a.m. to an apartment complex near Maryland Avenue West and Cumberland Street, where they found a man lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Investigators later determined the victim was shot by another man during an argument. Police said the suspected shooter fled into an apartment immediately after the incident.
Officers were able to locate and arrest the suspect, while the injured man was transported to Regions Hospital for treatment.
Police say the investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
