Pflugerville, Texas, 34-Year-Old Mom Kristen Marroquin Dies in Fatal Crash, Family Mourns

Kristen Willette Marroquin, 34, of Pflugerville, Texas, died on July 9, 2026, after being killed in a car accident. She was born May 6, 1992, in Houston to Karen Davis Antry and Joe Bill Davis Jr.

Kristen was known as a devoted wife and mother who poured her energy into supporting the people she loved. She encouraged her husband, Rudy, as he built his own custom home company, and friends say she had a gift for pushing others to chase their dreams.

She also had a creative side of her own, coming up with ideas for apps and new technology, and her innovative thinking earned her the 2020 JMPA Innovation Award from an organization focused on baby product safety.

Fitness was another major part of her life. Kristen trained for years as a bodybuilder and competed in multiple shows, winning Overall Bikini Champion at a National Physique Committee event, a title that qualified her for international competition. Those who knew her described the same discipline showing up in every part of her life.

A Life Filled With Family, Animals, and Friendship

Kristen’s children, Jax and Dallas, were the center of her world. She loved building science experiments at home, cheering Jax on in jiu jitsu, and inventing new games for the family. She and Rudy, married for almost seven years, enjoyed boating on the lake with friends.

She also had a lifelong love of animals, fostering dogs throughout her life and often stepping in to help transport pets out of overcrowded shelters so they had a chance at adoption.

Her husband shared the news of her death in a Facebook post, writing that he had lost the love of his life and urging others to hug their loved ones and tell them how much they mean to them. He asked friends to share their memories of Kristen.

Friends responded with tributes describing her as funny, generous, and full of life. One close friend recalled meeting Kristen in college, when they became roommates along with five dogs, four of them pit bulls, calling her a ride-or-die friend despite the chaos. A former coworker from Google remembered her as brilliant at her job and an incredible mother, saying she was in shock at the loss.

Kristen is survived by her husband Rudy, children Jax and Dallas, mother Karen Davis Antry and stepfather Dale Antry, father Joe Davis and his wife Leah Peed, brother Hunter Davis and his wife Chelsea, and her in-laws Claudia and Humberto Morales.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home Champions in Klein, Texas. The funeral service follows on Friday, July 17, at 10 a.m., with a private burial for immediate family. A luncheon for guests will take place afterward at SPJST Hall in Cypress.
