Phoenix, AZ, Motorcyclist Kendra Harrison, 25, Killed in Sunday Accident Leaves Two Young Sons Behind

A wave of grief has swept through the Phoenix, Arizona community following the sudden and tragic death of Kendra Harrison, a 25-year-old mother who lost her life in a motorcycle accident last Sunday.

The news has spread rapidly across social media, with witnesses, friends, family members, and strangers alike coming together to mourn her passing and support the family she left behind.

Kendra was more than just a young woman taken too soon. By all accounts from those who knew her, she was a devoted and loving mother to her two young sons, Kingston and Jira.

Her family described her as someone who made motherhood look effortless, pouring every ounce of her strength, warmth, and patience into raising her boys. Her children were her greatest pride and her whole world, and that love was evident to everyone around her.

The accident occurred on a Sunday and was witnessed by several bystanders who were deeply affected by what they saw.

One witness, Brook Hernandez, shared a heartfelt post on Facebook describing the moment and urging people to hold their loved ones close. Another bystander, Amanda Owen, shared that she was in the car directly behind the one involved in the accident and was among those who called 911.

She wrote that Kendra had been heavy on her heart in the days since, a sentiment echoed by many others who did not even know her personally but felt the weight of the loss.

Kendra’s aunt, Frances Meyers, who confirmed she was present in the aftermath of the accident, described her niece as an amazing human being whose absence makes the world a worse place.

The family has asked for privacy as they grieve and process what has happened, but they also want her death to carry meaning beyond the sadness.

Community Rallies Around Kingston and Jira as GoFundMe Surpasses $5,900

In the days following the accident, Kendra’s friends in the riding community set up a GoFundMe campaign to help cover funeral costs and secure a financial foundation for her two sons.

Organized by Hannah Pine on behalf of the family, the fundraiser has already received 94 donations and raised nearly $6,000 of its $15,000 goal.

Hannah described Kendra as a close friend and her only female friend in the bike community, and confirmed that all funds are going directly to Kendra’s mother for funeral expenses, with any remaining amount set aside for Kingston and Jira.

Alongside the outpouring of financial support, the family is using this tragedy to bring awareness to motorcycle safety.

They are calling on drivers to stay alert, share the road responsibly, and take that extra moment to check their surroundings, because as this heartbreaking loss reminds us, inattention behind the wheel can cost an innocent person everything.

Kendra Harrison leaves behind her sons, her mother Holly Lawhorn, her aunt Frances, and a community of riders and loved ones who will carry her memory forward. Service arrangements are expected to be announced soon.
