Richard Centers, age 56, of Manchester, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at his home on March 31, 2026. Born on September 26, 1969, in Dayton, Ohio, he lived a life marked by dedication, humility, and service to others.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, he carried his sense of duty and honor throughout his life, leaving behind a legacy remembered deeply by his family, friends, and the Clay County community.

Life and Service

Richard Centers was known for his strong work ethic, quiet strength, and unwavering commitment to those around him.

His years of service in the United States Navy shaped much of his character, instilling discipline, respect, and a deep appreciation for country and family.

Family and Legacy

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Michelle, of the Morris Centers of Manchester, Kentucky. He was a devoted father to Cody Richard Centers of London, Kentucky, Heather Hibbard of London, and Katilynn Morrow of Manchester.

He was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Zoe Centers, Logan Hibbard, Lucas Hibbard, Aiden Reynolds, Jace Hall, Hailey Hall, and A. J. Pavlick.

His grandchildren brought him great joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them, creating lasting memories that his family will always hold close.

He is also survived by his mother, Diana Miller Click, and stepfather George of Texas, and his brother Wayne Centers of Nicholasville, Kentucky.

He also leaves behind extended family, including a sister-in-law, Beverly Morgan of London, and nephew Brayden Centers. Richard was preceded in death by his father, Stafford Centers.

Funeral Arrangements

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at 6 PM at Britton Funeral Home in Manchester, Kentucky. Funeral services will follow on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 10 AM at the same location, with Jeremy Baker officiating.

Following the service, Richard will be laid to rest with military honors at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, Kentucky. His service will be honored with military rites, reflecting his dedication to the nation he proudly served.

The family has expressed gratitude for the support and prayers from the community during this difficult time and invites all who knew him to attend and pay their respects.
