The Brookville Bees traveled to Bridgewater this past Friday night, routing Turner Ashby 50-0 in dominating fashion. The Bees raced out to a 21-0 halftime advantage and didn’t look back as their offense simply could not be stopped by the over-matched Knights. Brookville was led by running back Tayshaun Butler who had 75 yards rushing to go with two scores while Silas Rucker added 74 yards on the ground including a 31-yard TD run of his own. Quarterback Drake McDaniel threw for 104 yards and two touchdowns. McDaniel also hauled in a 57-yard reception off of a trick reverse play to set up another score. The Brookville defense was stout all evening as they forced three turnovers en route to the shutout win.
Brookville (2-0) will hit the road once again this Friday night at 7 p.m. to take on Fluvanna County (0-2).
