A student sustained minor injuries Friday morning when a school bus collided with a Metro Transit light rail train in St. Paul.
Metro Transit officials said the crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of University Avenue West and Western Avenue North. A witness reported that the bus ran a red light.
The injured student was taken to the hospital, while the remaining students were transported to school on a different bus.
The Metro Transit Police Department and Minnesota State Patrol are investigating the collision.
