Police have apprehended 23-year-old A’Quan Kaishaid Laurence Thornton in connection with the fatal incident. According to the City of Mankato Government, officers responded to a distress call around 9:30 a.m. and found Hussein inside a vehicle on the 1600 block of Madison Avenue.
Investigators believe the shooting occurred in the 400 block of Holly Lane. After being shot, Hussein reportedly drove to a parking lot off Star Street, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
