On February 14, 2026, remains of an unidentified adult male were recovered from a bridge support structure along Lake Washington beneath the State Route 520 bridge near Medina, Washington.
The discovery was later entered into investigation records under King County Medical Examiner case number 26-0422.
Authorities described the man as white, estimated to be between 18 and 30 years old, standing approximately five feet eight inches tall, and weighing around 161 pounds.
He had brown hair and green eyes, and his body was found with several distinctive personal items and clothing layers that have since become central to ongoing identification efforts.
According to publicly shared details, the man was dressed in multiple layers, including a camouflage jacket with a military-style design and a black leather jacket worn over it.
The camouflage jacket contained a stitched name label reading “Ridenhour” on the inside collar as well as an embroidered patch with the same name on the right chest.
He was also wearing green pants and brown work boots. Investigators noted additional items such as a black face mask bearing an Amazon logo, a reversible belt, safety gloves, and a black eyepatch.
These belongings, combined with the name marking on the jacket, have drawn attention from online communities attempting to determine his identity.
Distinctive physical identifiers were also documented. These included a small cross tattoo on the left hand near the thumb and a small heart tattoo located near the hip area.
Despite these identifying features and the presence of a recognizable facial structure at the time of recovery, officials have not confirmed a positive identification.
Following the public release of the description, discussions emerged across social media platforms and community forums dedicated to missing persons cases.
One of the most widely discussed possibilities is a connection to a man reported missing under the name Clinton Ridenhour.
Users pointed to the matching surname found on the clothing and noted that the estimated age range and physical description could potentially align.
However, no official confirmation has been made linking the recovered remains to any specific missing individual.
Community members have also speculated about the circumstances leading to the discovery.
Some suggested the possibility of an accident involving transportation in the area, while others raised questions about whether the individual may have been living without stable housing, given the layered clothing and assortment of items commonly associated with work environments or donated goods.
These theories remain unverified and are not part of any official determination.
Additional comments from online discussions referenced other missing persons cases in the region, though none have been confirmed as matches by authorities.
Investigators continue to rely on forensic analysis, including dental comparison, DNA testing, and examination of personal effects, to establish identity.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office has maintained that the case remains open and that identifying the decedent is a priority.
As of now, the man found beneath the SR 520 bridge remains unidentified. Authorities continue to ask the public for any information that may assist in confirming who he was and how he came to be in that location.
The case has drawn sustained attention due to the combination of identifiable clothing markings and the unanswered questions surrounding his identity and final movements.
