Platinum IE Soccer Player Adriel Enriquez, 12, Died From Cardiac Arrest, Leaving Parents and Siblings Shattered!

A 12-year-old soccer player from San Bernardino, Adriel Enriquez, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from cardiac arrest.

Adriel Enriquez is survived by his parents, Brenda and Ricardo Enriquez, and his two younger siblings, Axel and Arley. So far, neither of them have broken their silence about his tragic passing.

He also leaves behind his grandparents, Mrs. Lety Rojas and Lazaro, and extended family members.

Born on April 3, 2013, Adriel played soccer at Platinum IE, a youth soccer organization based in San Bernardino, California; in fact, it was more than a game, but he truly loved soccer. He had joined Platinum IE in May 2024.

What started as a normal afternoon doing what he loved turned his and the family’s world upside down in no time. Reportedly, he collapsed during soccer practice, went into cardiac arrest, and took his last breath unexpectedly. 

Meanwhile, a GoFundMe campaign has been created to help his family cover his funeral expenses. and time away from work while they grieve and heal.

Following his tragic demise, several loved ones came forward to express their words of condolences. Platinum IE also shared their tribute writing:

He was the sweetest, most gentle and shy soul, with a quiet strength that touched everyone around him.

Similarly, another person named Bonito Bonito Adjuntas Del Refugio expressed grief in a post, which reads:

I wish to express my deepest condolences to the family of the boy Adriel Enriquez Barragán son of Mrs. Brenda and Ricardo Enriquez grandson of Mrs. Lety Rojas and Lazaro, may he rest in peace.

During this difficult time, we pray for the strength of Adriel’s parents, siblings, teammates, friends, and extended family.
