A 15-year-old boy arrested following an alleged assault near a high school in North Glasgow prompted a significant police presence in the area on Monday morning.
Police Scotland were called to the Balgrayhill Road area, close to Springburn Academy, at around 8 am on March 2, following reports that a male youth had been assaulted.
Officers arrived quickly at the scene but confirmed that nothing was ongoing. No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.

Glasgow City Council confirmed that the incident took place outside of the school grounds and before the start of the school day.
An incident occurred within the local community prior to the start of the school day and outwith the school grounds. The school is supporting Police Scotland with their ongoing enquiries, and the school day is continuing as normal.

In a message to parents and carers, Springburn Academy explained the reason for the police presence on school property.
The message stated that officers were in the building to assist with enquiries related to “an isolated incident that took place earlier this morning in the community, prior to the school day starting.”
The message further stressed that there were “no concerns regarding the safety of our young people.”
