Molly Marie Kevern died on Saturday, June 27, 2026, surrounded by her family at home. Her sister, Amy Stafford, shared the news on Facebook, calling Molly her “sweet baby sister” and writing that she is “now dancing with Jesus in Heaven.”
According to a CaringBridge update posted by Amy on Sunday, June 28, Molly passed away peacefully after what the family described as a beautiful final week filled with memory-making.
The post noted that Molly had fought her illness with courage, faith, and a strength that inspired everyone close to her. Even through setbacks, she continued to hold onto hope and gratitude for what her family called God’s many blessings.
Molly is remembered as a devoted wife to her husband, Mitchel, and a loving mother to her three children, Max, Lucy, and Jack. She was also described as a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
Her family wrote that they plan to make sure her children grow up knowing how deeply she loved them and how proud she was to be their mother.
The Kevern and Finley family asked for continued prayers, not just for Mitchel and the children, but for Molly’s parents and the wider family as they adjust to life without her.
Funeral Plans Expected After Holiday Weekend
The family has not yet finalized funeral arrangements, but said in their CaringBridge post that the service will most likely take place shortly after the Fourth of July holiday. Amy Stafford said she would post updated details for friends and loved ones, hoping to attend once plans are confirmed.
In the meantime, the family has set up ways for the community to offer support. Tax-deductible donations can be made through Hope Health Ministries’ page dedicated to Mitchel and Molly Kevern, and a meal train has been organized to help provide food for the family during this difficult time.
Molly’s CaringBridge page has drawn significant attention from friends and supporters, with more than 31,000 visits recorded. Dozens of comments have poured in from people sharing condolences and memories. Pam Morgan wrote that she would keep the family in her prayers and wished them peace and beautiful memories.
Jennifer Strom called Molly “an incredibly beautiful soul” who is now resting in the arms of Jesus. Kathy Colclasure offered prayers on behalf of herself and her husband, while Sue Trzaska wrote that she hoped the family would find comfort knowing Molly is in God’s hands. The page has also received tribute gifts from supporters wishing to honor Molly’s memory and help keep her CaringBridge page active for the family.
