Church Point Boy Levi Benoit, 10, Succumbs to Injuries After ATV vs. Car Crash

The Church Point community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Levi Benoit, a young boy whose death has touched countless lives across Acadiana.

Levi succumbed to injuries he suffered in a serious four-wheeler and vehicle accident that occurred several days earlier, according to family members and community supporters.

News of Levi’s passing spread quickly through social media, where friends, relatives, and community members shared memories, prayers, and messages of support for his parents, siblings, and extended family.

The tragedy has prompted an outpouring of compassion from people throughout the region who have been following updates on his condition since the accident.

Kristie Sidewand Andrus, who had previously requested prayers for Levi, shared the devastating update that he had passed away from his injuries. She encouraged supporters to continue praying for the family as they face an unimaginable loss.

Many of the tributes describe Levi as a joyful and caring child whose presence brought happiness to those around him. Family members recalled his love for simple adventures, his bright personality, and the close bond he shared with his twin brother, Liam.

Rachel Angelle Benoit remembered Levi as a happy child who was often barefoot and always eager to collect recyclable cans from relatives.

According to her tribute, Levi and Liam would gather cans to earn a little spending money, creating memories that family members now cherish deeply.

Dawn Bourque Beal also shared an emotional message honoring Levi’s life, describing him as a treasured part of her family’s life.

She expressed gratitude for the time they were able to spend with him and offered prayers for his parents, Jason and Tabbi Benoit, as well as his brothers during their time of grief.

Community Support Effort Raises Thousands for Family

As the family navigates the difficult days ahead, community members have organized support efforts to help ease some of the burdens associated with the tragedy.

A Meal Train fundraiser established for the Benoit family has received an overwhelming response. Organized by Denee Ray, the effort was created to provide meals and financial assistance to Levi’s immediate family during this challenging period.

According to the fundraiser page, the household includes seven adults and two children. The campaign surpassed its original goal, raising more than $7,500 through contributions from dozens of supporters. Volunteers have also signed up to prepare and deliver meals throughout June, ensuring the family has practical support while focusing on healing and remembrance.

The Meal Train page asks supporters to continue praying for Jason, Tabbi, Austin, Lacey, Annalyce, Jace, Haileigh, and Liam. Messages left by donors and volunteers reflect the deep impact Levi’s story has had across the community.

Friends say the response demonstrates the strength of the Church Point community and the willingness of neighbors to come together during times of tragedy. Many have continued sharing prayer requests, photos, and memories celebrating Levi’s life.

While the grief remains profound, loved ones hope the support surrounding the family will provide comfort in the weeks and months ahead. As tributes continue to pour in, Levi Benoit is being remembered not for the tragedy that claimed his life, but for the joy, kindness, and happiness he brought to those fortunate enough to know him.

His memory will remain in the hearts of family members, friends, classmates, and community members who continue to honor a young life gone far too soon.
