The community of Gallipolis, Ohio, is mourning the sudden loss of Kruz White, a devoted father, loyal friend, and hardworking man whose passing has left a void that words struggle to fill.
News of his death spread quickly through the community, leaving friends and family in disbelief and grief as they came to terms with losing someone who had touched so many lives in meaningful ways.
Kruz was a tree trimmer at Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC, a position he had held since February 2025. He was a man who took pride in honest, physical work and carried that same energy into every corner of his life.
Outside of work, he had a deep passion for Muay Thai and mixed martial arts, and was a dedicated gaming content creator who ran a YouTube channel under the name Whitekruz.
More than anything, though, Kruz defined himself as a proud father, and those who knew him say that his children were the reason he became the man he was working hard to be.
A Childhood Full of Good Times
For many who grew up alongside Kruz, the memories go back decades. He was the kind of person who made ordinary days feel like something worth remembering.
Friends recall him organizing four-wheeler races, throwing some of the best parties anyone had ever attended, and filling his home and the homes of those around him with laughter and life.
His mother Paula kept a house full of young people during those years, and Kruz was at the center of it all. He and his crew, including close friends Gage, Will, Chris Mac, Gordo, and Nathan, were nearly inseparable throughout high school and the years that followed.
One family friend described how she lost count of the number of times she walked into a house, stepping over sleeping teenagers just to find her own son in the mix.
She remembered that despite the wildness of those years, Kruz never once lied to her, never disrespected her, and would not allow anyone else to disrespect her either.
He looked out for his friends on that hill and kept them safe in ways they may not have fully appreciated at the time.
A Man Who Turned His Life Around
What made Kruz’s story resonate so deeply with those who knew him was the transformation they witnessed in him as he grew older. Friends who had watched him navigate the reckless freedoms of youth saw him pour everything into becoming a better man for his children.
He was engaged to his partner, Tiff, and was raising a family he was fiercely proud of. Those who had once butted heads with him found themselves quietly proud of who he had become.
When the news broke, one family friend had the painful task of telling her 30-year-old son after he got off work. The grief that followed was raw and immediate.
