Luray, VA, Mother of Four Elsa Grace Torres, 32, Passes Away, Family Mourns Beloved Daughter and Partner

Elsa Grace Torres, a 32-year-old mother of four from Luray, Virginia, died on July 10, 2026, following a car accident that left her family and community in shock.

Born on January 12, 1994, in San Francisco, California, Torres was the daughter of Stacey Leffew of Luray and spent her life surrounded by a large, close-knit family.

Torres married Vicente Torres on March 10, 2014. He passed away in December 2015. She went on to build a life centered on her children, her extended family, and her Christian faith.

Those who knew her described a woman who found peace by the river, in the sunshine, and among the people she loved.

Family Says She Leaves Behind a Legacy of Kindness

She is survived by her son, David Isaac Torres, and three daughters, Penelope Grace Bell, Phoenix Nova Kline, and Indie Jo Kline, all of Luray. She also leaves behind three stepdaughters, three stepsons, a grandson, and her longtime companion Jeff Kline. Her mother, three sisters, and four brothers are among the many relatives grieving her loss.

Friends and family have described Torres as someone who quietly helped others through difficult moments, offering support with childcare, housing, and sobriety. Her family says she touched more lives in 32 years than most people do in a lifetime.

A funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 16, at Rileyville Baptist Church, with burial to follow at Rileyville Cemetery. Pastor Porky Jones will lead the service.

To help cover funeral and burial costs, Torres’ sister Hannah Evans started an online fundraiser. According to the fundraiser page, Torres was just two days away from moving into a new home with her partner and children when she passed. Organizers say any funds raised beyond funeral expenses will go toward helping Jeff Kline and the children settle into their new residence.

The fundraiser had collected more than fourteen thousand dollars from over 130 donors as of this week, with organizers hoping to reach their goal in the coming days.

Tributes have poured in on social media, with loved ones remembering Torres as loud, loving, and endlessly devoted to her family. Her partner wrote online that she brought light into every room and that her memory would guide the family forward.
