A 26-year-old Harrington man is being remembered by friends and family after he was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Milford early Saturday morning.
Noah Bliss was driving a 2010 Toyota Tacoma eastbound on Shawnee Road at a high rate of speed around 2:14 a.m. on June 20, according to the Milford Police Department.
For reasons that remain unknown, the truck left the roadway near the entrance and exit of the Cypress Hall Shopping Center. It struck an electrical pole and a tree before overturning multiple times and coming to rest upside down in a nearby retention pond.
Officers and firefighters from the Carlisle Fire Company worked to pull Bliss from the wreck. Emergency crews performed life-saving measures on scene before he was taken to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The crash shut down the area for roughly three hours while investigators worked the scene.

Friends and Family Remember Noah
In the days since the crash, tributes have poured in from friends who grew up with Bliss around Harrington and Seaford. Many described him as a lifelong friend who was always up for an adventure, whether that meant fishing, dirt biking, riding four-wheelers, or just hanging out on the block.
One close friend wrote that the two had been inseparable since childhood, sharing everything from basketball games and treehouse hangouts to video games and go-kart runs.
He said the news still didn’t feel real and that he wished for one more chance to go fishing or spend time together before saying a proper goodbye. He described Bliss as family and said the loss hit harder than almost anything he’d been through before.
Others left shorter messages on social media expressing shock and grief, with many using the hashtag tied to a local gathering spot they used to frequent together, and offering condolences to his family and loved ones.
Bliss’s online profile shows he had more than a thousand friends and connections, with many of them now sharing memories and photos in his honor. Friends say they plan to continue posting tributes and pictures in the coming days as the community processes the loss.
The Milford Police Department says the investigation into the crash remains ongoing. No additional details about a possible cause, such as speed, road conditions, or other contributing factors, have been released at this time.
Bliss is the latest in a string of recent traffic fatalities reported across Delaware and the surrounding region in June, underscoring concerns from local officials about high-speed crashes on rural and suburban roadways. As of this report, no further public statement has been issued by the Bliss family.
