San Antonio, TX: AMBER Alert Issued for Missing 7-Month-Old Ozana Cisneros, Woman Sought in Connection

An AMBER Alert is active for a 7-month-old girl who has been missing from San Antonio since early June, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Authorities say time is critical and are asking the public to stay alert for any sign of the child or the woman she was last seen with.

Details of the Disappearance

The missing infant, Ozana Cisneros, was last seen around 6 p.m. on June 10 in the 300 block of Roosevelt Avenue on San Antonio’s south side, not far from downtown. DPS describes her as about two feet tall, with black hair and brown eyes, and weighing around 20 pounds.

She was last seen in the company of 19-year-old Maximina Cisneros, whom police now want to locate as part of the investigation. Maximina stands about 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighs roughly 100 pounds, and also has black hair and brown eyes.

She was reportedly seen more recently than the child, with a sighting reported on July 3 in San Antonio, nearly a month after Ozana was last seen.

The gap between when the baby was last seen and when Maximina was later spotted alone has raised concern among investigators, though officials have not released further details about what happened between those two dates or why the alert did not go out until July 9, weeks after Ozana was reported missing.

What Police Are Asking of the Public

The San Antonio Police Department has asked anyone with information about the whereabouts of either Ozana or Maximina Cisneros to come forward right away. People can call 911 or reach SAPD directly at 210-207-7660.

Officials have not released additional information about the relationship between the baby and the woman being sought, and no further update has been made public since the alert went out.

As is standard in these cases, investigators are relying heavily on tips from the community, since even small details, like a description of a vehicle, a location, or a interaction someone remembers, can end up being the piece that moves a case forward.

AMBER Alerts are reserved for cases where law enforcement believes a child is in danger, and Texas DPS has confirmed that officials consider Ozana to be at serious risk. The alert has been shared across state and local emergency systems and picked up by news outlets throughout the San Antonio region as the search continues.

Anyone who spots either Ozana or Maximina Cisneros, or who has information that could help investigators, is urged not to approach and instead contact authorities immediately.
