Caleb Alexander Hodges, born in March 1999 and passing in April 2026 at the age of twenty-seven, was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, Tennessee, whose presence left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
He was remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, loyal son, and a friend whose kindness and strength shaped many lives around him.
Caleb grew up in Kingsport and attended Gate City High School, graduating with the class of 2017.
During his school years, he participated in baseball and football and was known not only for his athletic ability but also for his character.
Teachers, coaches, and classmates often spoke of his respectful nature, determination, and willingness to help others. He carried those same qualities throughout his adult life.
From a young age, Caleb developed a deep love for the outdoors. Hunting was one of his greatest passions, and some of his most treasured memories were made alongside his father during hunting trips. He also enjoyed shooting sports, including trap, skeet, and sporting clays.
Over the years, he earned recognition and awards in competition, but he valued the experience and camaraderie even more than the accomplishments.
Caleb worked as a welder and spent time employed at BAE Systems and previously at Crenlo Engineered Cabs. His skills extended far beyond his job.
He had a natural mechanical ability and was known for being able to fix, build, or repair almost anything. Friends and family often turned to him for help, knowing he would show up ready to solve a problem without hesitation.
Another important part of Caleb’s life was racing. He spent many years involved at Kingsport Speedway, where he shared his passion for racing with his wife, Kaley.
The time they spent together at the track created many cherished memories and reflected their shared enthusiasm for the sport and for life together.
Above all, Caleb was deeply devoted to his family. He shared a strong and loving marriage with Kaley, built over six years together, including four years of marriage.
Their daughter, Hadley, was the center of his world. He took immense pride in being her father and found his greatest joy in watching her grow. His love for her was constant and unmistakable to anyone who knew him.
He was the son of Tim and Dawn Hodges, with whom he shared a close and meaningful bond. Family played a central role in his life, and he remained closely connected to his parents and extended relatives throughout his years.
He also carried the memory of his sister Taylor, who preceded him in death, along with other loved ones who had passed before him.
Caleb was known for his strong personality, honesty, and determination. While he could be stubborn and outspoken, those traits were matched by a deeply generous heart. He was always willing to help others and was known for his loyalty and sincerity.
His faith was also an important part of his life, having been baptized at a young age and remaining connected to his church community.
