Hood River Coffee Entrepreneur, Bryce Matthew McGeeney, 47, Arrested on Human Trafficking and Multiple Child Sex Charges

Bryan Matthew McGeeney, a 47-year-old man connected to the Hood River, Oregon coffee scene, was arrested on June 5, 2026, and booked into the North Oregon Regional Correctional Facility (NORCOR) on an extensive list of serious criminal charges.

The arrest has sent shockwaves through the tight-knit Hood River community, with residents turning to Facebook and Reddit to process the news.

According to booking records published on the NORCOR inmate database, McGeeney faces charges including trafficking in persons, compelling prostitution, online sexual corruption of a child in the first degree, first and third degree sodomy, first and third degree rape, unlawful delivery of cocaine to a person under 18, unlawful delivery of marijuana items, and furnishing alcohol to a minor or intoxicated person.

Many of the charges appear in repeated groupings, suggesting multiple alleged victims.

No bail or bond amount was listed in the public records at the time of booking.

McGeeney stands 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, and has brown hair and blue eyes. He has no scheduled release date listed in the public database.

The charges, if proven, would represent among the most serious criminal conduct possible under Oregon law.

Who Is Bryan McGeeney, and What Businesses Is He Connected To?

McGeeney built a name for himself in the Hood River coffee community over the years, originally founding 10 Speed Coffee Shop and 10 Speed Roasters. He sold the 10 Speed Coffee Shop to a man named Ben more than 15 years ago.

Community members have been quick to clarify this point online, urging neighbors to continue patronizing 10 Speed, which has operated independently under Ben’s ownership for well over a decade. He is also not connected to Kickstand, another local coffee spot that some social media users initially linked to him in error.

More recently, McGeeney was associated with Randonnée Coffee in Mosier, Oregon. However, according to community members with direct knowledge of the situation, he stepped away from day-to-day operations at the beginning of 2026.

His wife, Maren McGeeney, is the owner and operator of Randonnée, and neighbors have confirmed that Bryan had no active role in running the shop. He reportedly served only as the landlord of the property.

Maren filed for divorce following the charges, according to community discussion threads. Multiple Hood River residents who know Maren personally have spoken warmly about her character, describing her as a well-regarded member of the community.

Friends of the family have taken to social media to call on the community to support Maren and her daughter during what is clearly a devastating time.

Becky McQueen, a community member, posted publicly, encouraging people to support Randonnée Coffee in Mosier, writing that Maren is the owner and that she and her daughter need community backing.

The outpouring of support for Maren has been significant, with many neighbors expressing a desire to show up for the family in practical ways.

McGeeney is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. No formal press statement from law enforcement had been publicly released at the time of writing.
