A man who became an internet sensation after walking away with a multimillion-dollar private jet on MrBeast’s YouTube channel is now facing international drug trafficking charges in South America.
Jabari Stephen Brown, known to fans as “Treezy,” was apprehended Saturday night at a hotel in Asunción, Paraguay, capping off a sweeping anti-drug operation that ended with four US citizens behind bars.
The trouble began at Silvio Pettirossi International Airport in Luque, the main air terminal serving Paraguay’s capital.
Officers from Senad, the country’s national anti-drug secretariat, were watching as ground crew began offloading suitcases from a private aircraft that had flown in from Miami.
When investigators moved in, they discovered 261.6 kilograms of high-potency marijuana stashed in the luggage, bound for a waiting vehicle headed into Asunción.
Three people connected to the plane, Marisol Rivas, Anthony Vásquez, and David Thomas Wise, all American citizens listed as crew members, were detained at the scene.
Brown was tracked down separately at his hotel later that same evening. All four were brought before the Public Prosecutor’s Office and formally charged with international narcotics trafficking.
“Each kilogram of the substance could have a value of approximately $14,000 on the Brazilian market”
Investigators also identified an Estonian national named Keith Siilats as the alleged owner and pilot of the aircraft. Siilats, reportedly a co-founder of Bolt Mobility, an American electric scooter startup that collapsed in 2022, had already left Paraguayan territory Saturday morning, hours before authorities made their move. A warrant for his arrest is expected as the case develops.
Senad officials put the total street value of the seizure at roughly $3.66 million, describing the product as premium-grade cannabis targeting the Brazilian market. Authorities said the bust reflects a widening pattern of drug networks routing shipments through Paraguay before pushing them into Brazil and onward to Europe.
A bilateral agreement between Paraguay and Brazil, signed in 2024, specifically targets suspicious cross-border air traffic, and Saturday’s operation was a direct result of that cooperation.
For Brown, the arrest marks a stunning reversal of fortune. He had won the executive jet during a MrBeast competition organized by Jimmy Donaldson, the YouTube creator with the largest individual following on the platform.
The plane itself was seized as part of the investigation and remains in Paraguayan custody. Brown and the three other defendants now face potentially lengthy prison sentences under Paraguayan law if convicted on the trafficking charges.
