Paul D. Clemente, age 62, of Lincoln Park, Michigan, passed away on April 22, 2026. He was born on May 19, 1963, and lived a life marked by dedication to family, public service, and community involvement.

Paul was widely known as a loving husband, devoted father, respected professional, and active member of his community.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Cara A. Clemente, and their children, Joseph P. Clemente and his fiancée Alvilde Kippersund, Nathan T. Clemente, and Emma N. Clemente.

He was the cherished son of Alice Clemente and the late Joseph Clemente Jr. Paul was a dear brother to Michael Clemente and his wife Mary Jo, Robert Clemente, and Monica Donofrio and her husband Mike.

He is also remembered fondly by his cousin Ed Clemente. He was a son-in-law to Nora Gronda and the late Gary Gronda, and a brother-in-law to Craig Gronda and his wife, Laura, as well as Chad Gronda and his wife, Jennifer. He shared a special bond with his loyal companion, his pet Cinnamon.

Paul was a proud Certified Public Accountant and served as a Michigan State Representative for District 14. Throughout his career, he earned respect for his professionalism, leadership, and commitment to public service.

Beyond his work in accounting and politics, Paul was deeply involved in his family business, Clemente’s Restaurant Bar and Bowling Alley, where he helped create a welcoming space that brought people together.

A graduate of Cabrini High School class of 1981, Paul remained closely connected to his alma mater throughout his life.

He was an active alumnus who gave generously of his time and energy, supporting school events, fundraising efforts, and student initiatives. He often credited his school experience for shaping his values and the lifelong friendships he carried with him.

Paul was remembered by those who knew him as a man of strong ideas, kindness, and humility. He contributed significantly to his community through volunteer work, youth sports coaching, and alumni activities.

His presence was described as encouraging and thoughtful, always offering support and inspiration to those around him. He was known for his creativity in planning events and his commitment to making them meaningful and enjoyable for others.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at R.C. Aleks & Son Funeral Home in Lincoln Park, Michigan. A vigil service will take place the same day from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the funeral home.

It will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at St. Frances Cabrini Parish in Allen Park, Michigan, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM. Private cremation will take place following the service.

Instead of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Frances Cabrini Father Clare Murphy Scholarship Fund or the Mother Cabrini Day of Giving.

Paul will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his service to his community, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him.
