A disturbing incident at Hillcrest Park in Yuba City has left the local community shaken after a 19-year-old was reportedly harassed, assaulted, and jumped by a group of individuals near the Lincoln Road area.
The attack was shared on the popular local Facebook group “530 Life” by Yuba City resident Kaden Robison, who posted on behalf of the victim and urged community members to help identify those responsible.
According to Robison’s post, the assault was not an isolated incident. The victim had allegedly been targeted and harassed by the same group for several months before the situation escalated into a physical attack.
Robison identified the suspects by first names only, saying he believed those responsible were individuals named Elijah and Dylan, both described as locals from the Lincoln Road and Hillcrest Park area.
Community Reacts With Outrage
The post spread quickly through the 530 Life group, drawing an outpouring of concern and anger from fellow Yuba City residents. Many were appalled that multiple attackers would gang up on a single young person in a neighborhood park.
Kassandra Banuelos wrote,
“This is so sad. I’m sure that was pretty scary for him. I hope he’s ok!” Sushy Covarrubias added, “O no bs please let us know you are ok and you are going to do a police report.”
Barbara J. Kearse did not hold back her frustration, saying the suspects clearly could not handle a one-on-one confrontation and had to rely on numbers.
Lacey Hill echoed similar sentiments, pointing out that four people attacking one individual says everything about the character of the aggressors.
Pamela Marie called on parents to take responsibility, writing,
“I swear kids need to stop bullying kids. Their parents need to get in their asses.”
Deana Marie Littleton called the act of jumping someone weak and pathetic, expressing hope that the suspects would be caught and held accountable.
Cindy Mora Perez kept it short and direct: “Trash just a bunch of trash. Parents need to do better.” Wurtzberger L. Kat sympathized with the victim, noting the attackers were most likely high school students.
Calls for a Police Report and Accountability
Several commenters strongly encouraged the victim to file a police report with the Yuba City Police Department as soon as possible. One commenter noted that if the suspects are adults, they could face serious legal consequences, including civil lawsuits.
Community member Rose Angel also asked whether the suspects had been seen in a white Toyota, suggesting she may have had a prior encounter with individuals matching the description.
As of the time of posting, it was unclear whether a formal police report had been filed. The Yuba City Police Department had not issued any public statement regarding the incident.
Residents are asking anyone with information about the attack to come forward. If you recognize anyone involved or have additional details about what happened at Hillcrest Park near Lincoln Road, contact the Yuba City Police Department directly.
Parents in the area are also being urged to speak with their children and remain aware of who they are spending time with at local parks.
